The Radiation Therapist will perform radiation therapy procedures, ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment delivery, maintain treatment documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in Therapeutic Radiology required
• California Therapeutic Radiology License required
• 2+ years of Radiation Therapy experience preferred
• Experience utilizing Megavoltage, Supervoltage, and Orthovoltage equipment
• Knowledge of:
  • Simulation procedures
  • Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT)
  • Radioactive implants
  • HDR Brachytherapy
  • Hyperthermia procedures
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and treatment plans
• Accurately position patients and verify treatment setup prior to therapy delivery
• Operate advanced radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively
• Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, and nursing staff
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental policies
• Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
• Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-focused treatment environment
